Winter BluesThe cold air bites at my lips
And the snow melts on my face
Another winter night comes to a close
Another page to my life's book turns
Another step deeper into myself

Some call it the winter blues
I call it the hardest time of my life
Too many memories
Too many mistakes
I know with spring my moods will improve
And yet I'm worried
This winter has been the hardest
Worse then any other before

I'm losing myself
I feel like I'm losing my mind
I feel dead inside, as I so often do
But more so

Things had been going so well
I was optimistic
I felt my future was bright
I felt alive and my soul sang
I was at the top of the world

Descension Of HopeI can no longer deny what I am
No longer can I hide at the bottom of the pit
No longer can I bathe in the flames
Of my own personal hell

But that is a lie

My descension of faith in everything
Comes to me deeper then I can ever cut
I have no faith in anything anymore
Perfection is a lost impossible art
Peace is a fake dream they sell to you on the corner
Love is a lie the way they tell you
Friendship is but opportunity

But that as well is a lie
That I tell myself to keep myself sane

If I did indeed let myself out
Of the chains I keep bound around my wrists
I would leave the world behind
And never would I be able to return
