Look at them
Walking around like zombies
Cattle to the slaughter
All chaotic lies within
Soulless shells
They all seem to think they are special
And smart
Not a single thing
Worth noting
All brainless
All hateful and spiteful
I do not hate people
But I do hate humanity as a whole
Look at us
As a single unit
What are we worth?
What good have we done?
The few that deserve a beautiful life
Suffer at the hands of the righteous
Trampled down below the throng
Look at them
They are just like the rest
I look at them
Realize they are just like me

Kill the Gods
Forgotten gods cluster together like constellations of post-mortem scars forming,
crystallised ocean remnants,
salt pressed and tattooed on the skin of human history
composing salt crystals and fingerprints and decomposing like dying cells and skeleton leaves.
The tides of us, washed and blurred at the edges,
smoothed like fossilised wood and glass pebbles littering waves of resurrections
reborn and torn asunder
the thunder of their hearts silenced as they
sleep (if gods sleep at all)
in infinity with the fishes on the ocean bed
(the quiet ocean death) of humanity’s collective
consciousness.
I wonder where the ghosts of gods go
where

depression.
with thunder cries
and lightning eyes,
she crawls inside,
needing,
breathing,
seething,
feeding,
darkening my mind
as we entwine,
and every time,
i'm open wide.

Memory
I remember you, quiet man,
plaidly relieved against a backdrop
spangled with motes of starry dust.
I remember you, blue eyes,
all black socks and white sweater,
and the way you used to eat mayonnaise.
I made fun of you for that.
I remember you smiling,
no tubes, no pumps.
And in the blue room, I played a game,
pretending I could keep you here
as long as I stayed awake, imagining
my breath sustaining you-
in and out
in and out
in and out
and once more.
But my heart cramps,
and my eyes are sore,
and this is not so much a poem
as a thinly veiled prayer
that you still guard me as I sleep,
though open

Been rather upset lately at what I see at work, delivering to gas stations. I see all these people, and very few and kind and decent. The ones that are good.. are beginning to despise the rest of humanity. I know I do. I know lots of a good people. Wonderful and decent people who love and care. But they are far outweighed by the masses of hate.

“A fine line separates the weary recluse from the fearful hermit. Finer still is the line between hermit and bitter misanthrope.”
― Dean Koontz, Velocity
"But in general, mankind always seemed abhorrent. I have no problems in showing that sometimes prevented me from eating all day and kept me from painting for a week to have noticed a feature; is amazing how greed, envy, arrogance, rudeness, greed and, in general, that whole set of attributes that make up the human condition can be seen on one side, in a manner of walking, at a glance. It seems natural that after a meeting so you do not feel like eating, painting, or even to live. " ― Ernesto Sábato, El túnel
“I cannot but conclude that the Bulk of your Natives, to be the most pernicious Race of little odious Vermin that Nature ever suffered to crawl upon the Surface of the Earth.” ― Jonathan Swift, Gulliver's Travels
“The multiplication of our kind borders on the obscene; the duty to love them, on the preposterous.”
― Emil Cioran

But I absolutely understand what you mean. I'm a receptionist at my dentist's office and wow do I see another ugly side of humanity. But we're a "great" species right? Pfft!
